THE  KARMA – II

The karma is not an inflexible law nor a pre-established route which we are obliged to follow, inasmuch as we can modify it significantly, to a certain degree.  If this were not the case, it would not worth while to be endowed with powers of creation, will, imagination or any other freedom o action.

Our karma is the sun of all the causes which we put into action in the various previous incarnations of the past.

And generally it is not the consequence o the last period of life here on Earth inasmuch as the Lords of the Karma allow the human being to pay his debts in various installments, or better still, in more than one life because for the majority of people their actions were so frightful that their strength would not stand paying all the debts during only one incarnation.

At all times we are triggering the law of Action and Reaction.  If we eat a very heavy meal, our digestive tract suffers the consequences next day.  If we spend four tiresome years studying in a technical school or in college, without TV and without a full nightly rest, we will have a comfortable life afterwards.

If, instinctively, the student believes he has a bad karma, he should start compensating it with good works.  The Lords of Karma are just and know that the Law of Pardon exists.

Nevertheless, praying, charms and rituals are of no use to annul the bad karma.  What would be the use of our being pardoned if we commit the same mistakes a minute later.

Does that mean that the prayers and the requests to the Cosmic Hierarchy mean nothing?  Of course they mean something.  But we must not only ask to have our punishment suspended.  We must ask for knowledge and illumination not to continue repeating the same mistakes. The best thing is to continue doing good works happily to compensate our bad actions of the past.

We must also ask for strength to endure the difficult situations and those who perform evilly against us.

The ignorant person prays to be forgiven but does nothing to become acquainted with the laws of the Universe or to get rid of his immense selfishness.

Only illumination can modify and deflect the cosmic storms we provoke lifting us over their black clouds.

All the Guides of humanity have always insisted that we should fight bad with good – this is the best remedy to bad karma.

Still, to fight bad with god does not mean to be passively indolent.  It is necessary to apply good against bad.

Most of the religions are fatalist and accept the adversities as a punishment issued by God, or as an Inexorable Destiny.

The occultist, on the other hand, faces the bad karma with serenity.  He recognizes that he is the only one to blame and, at the same time, he knows that by using his trained will together with altruistic actions, he can expect a blissful life even during his present life.

Very few of us have a good karma inasmuch as the majority, as can be easily verified looking around our environment, acts selfishly according the charitable act such as harmony, justice and kindness.  The result is a rebirth in an environment where what they planted reigns:  injustice, selfishness and enmity.

Dear Rose+Cross, let us try, right as from now, to deal with the Straight and Ascending Action and start creating a marvelous future for ourselves.

We have still before us some 30 or 60 years to realize well planned actions which will produce good effects not only for us but for others, too.

When you study material or spiritual science, you work very hard to furnish comfort to the members of your family.  You diet and perform spiritual exercises.  That is very good for you.

But do not forget to counterbalance by striving for your community, just like to bee which lives for the hive.

Whoever lives in a country must know its laws.  And pleading that he made a mistake because off ignorance does not exempt him from fines and punishment.

We, as inhabitants of the Earth cannot ignore the Cosmic Laws inasmuch as much of our suffering originates in this ignorance.

The common man performs thousands of actions per day but they are disorderly and incoherent.  The Initiate, nevertheless, thinks a great deal before acting and knowing these three laws which we are studying, without haste or impatience, constructs his future with firm steps, improving his character day by day and not wasting time on futilities.

Good works are not wasted: a statesman who spends extra hours of his day trying to solve he complicated problems of his country; a religious speaker who after a day’s work still goes to his Church to encourage his flock with his words; a technician who uses his capabilities (draftsman, carpenter, electrician, accountant) free of charge over weekends in favor of charitable or religious institutions in his home town – all of them will have a credit to be receive either now or in another life and orientation for a better life through his parents, his friends or books, or by living in a country or environment rich with well-being and without material or spiritual hardships.

The searched for their neighbors’ happiness and now they should be rewarded.

Actions create their environment. Whether they are good or bad, thus will be the environment.

The mystery of life and death, the reward for our efforts, the suffering hat exists in this world, man’s place in the universe are cleared up somewhat more by knowing reincarnation, the karma and evolution.

Beloved disciples, meditate considerably o these three sublime laws – Evolution, Reincarnation and Karma, which we have revealed to you in order that they become well engraved in your spirit.

DESIDERATA

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.   As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.

Speak you truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons;  they are vexatious to the spirit.   If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;  for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however be humble;  it is a real possession in the changing of fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs;  for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;  many persons strive for high ideals;  and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.  Especially, do not feign affection.  Neither be cynical about love;  for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.  Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.  But do not distress yourself with imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.  Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less then the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.  And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you may conceive him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all it’s shame, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.  Be cheerful.  Strive to be happy.

Whenever there is a weakening of the Law and a growth of the Law and a growth of the illegality everywhere, then I manifest myself.  For the salvation of the just and the destruction of those that practice the hardly; for the firm establishment of the Law,  I come back to be born age after age.
